SPEEDWORKS MOTORSPORT CONFIRMS Benjy Douglas AS 2026 RISING STAR
I’m Benjy Douglas, a junior race driver competing in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship as part of the Speedworks Motorsport Rising Stars programme for 2026.
I came into motorsport through a modern route — where simulator racing played a key role in developing my racecraft, technical understanding, and consistency under pressure with a long-term ambition to progress into GT and endurance racing.
If you’re aged 6–16, passionate about SIM racing, or curious about alternative pathways into motorsport, follow my journey and see how virtual racing can become a real-world opportunity.

FAQ’s
How did you get into racing and where are you now?
I started out in online sim racing, which built my technical understanding before I ever strapped into a real kart. From there I worked my way through grassroots karting and club-level competition, and in 2026 I’ve been selected as a Speedworks Rising Star for the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship.
Can you help me (or my child) take the next step in racing?
Absolutely — that’s exactly why this page exists. Whether you’re just starting out in karting or looking to make the move into car racing, I know what it takes because I’ve been through it myself, recently.
What makes your coaching or advice different from other sources?
I’m not a retired pro from 20 years ago — I’m actively racing and developing right now, which means the insights I share are current, real, and relevant to today’s junior motorsport landscape. I understand the pressures of budgets, balancing school, the sim-to-track transition, and what teams like Speedworks are actually looking for. If you want advice that comes from lived experience, not a textbook, get in touch.
