Motorsport is a game of millimeters. One moment you’re alongside P6, proving your transition from sim racing to real racing is the real deal; the next, a clipped tyre stack snaps your steering rod and your race is over.
Opening the 2026 BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship at Snetterton was a masterclass in the emotional highs and lows of the sport. Qualifying P9 out of 31 cars was the statement we wanted to make. But the DNF in Race 1? That was the gut-punch. Watching the field pull away while your steering fails is a feeling you can’t simulate. It’s raw, it’s frustrating, and it’s part of the journey.
But we don’t do “giving up.”
Starting from the back for the remaining heats, the mission was clear: total recovery. Race 2 was pure hustle. I managed to pass 12 cars on lap one, slicing through the field with the kind of precision honed over thousands of virtual laps.

By the final flag of Race 3, I had climbed to P12: representing 16 places gained across the weekend.
For our partners, this weekend demonstrated exactly what Benjy Douglas Racing stands for. It’s not just about the qualifying pace; it’s about the resilience and grit to fight back from the rear. We have the data-driven speed to run at the front and the mental toughness to deliver results when the odds are stacked against us. This is the momentum we’re carrying forward.
